    I was tempted to do this with my tux sticker, but when my wife saw me sizing it up she kiboshed it.

      If you sit next to her instead of across you can torment her with terminal stuff like I do mine :)

      I recommend aafire or sl if you have those updated and ready

      I got the same thing. I thought I was being baited. But, something odd is going on with the lemmy preview. If you follow the actual link to the imgur page then the gif plays fine, but clicking the thumbnail goes to a re-hosted version on mander.xyz which is a static jpeg with the play button somehow burned in. Weird.

      I think it was a faulty upload to imgur based on the comments I’ve seen. I’m not sure the SOP for uploading gifs here.

      It’s a gif, but a gifv which are correctly treated and controlled like a video stream by browsers.

      The thinklight was the spotlight embedded into the top of the screen that lightened up the keyboard (before backlight keyboards were a thing)
