Rashida Tlaib is getting blowback for urging Michigan Democratic primary voters to cast their ballots as “uncommitted” rather than for Joe Biden. But if voters take issue with Biden’s support for Israel’s assault on Gaza, that’s no one’s fault but his own.
thankfully michigan voters did not snub joe biden.
he won 80% of the votes cast. in an uncontested primary biden got more than 610k votes. he beat uncommitted 6 to 1.
despite what people are trying to put out there, the results clearly say biden is on strong footing.
Not really, Michigan is a swing state and if half the voters who voted uncommitted ended up abstaining in the general election (which they shouldn’t do because Trump is worse) then Biden would lose the state if all the numbers were the same as 2020.
If Biden doesn’t want Trump to be the next president he should pivot on this issue (and it looks like he already is starting to do so according to the Seth Meyers ice cream trip).
