Questions for potential candidates:

  1. What is your vision for this community

  2. What time zone/country are you in

  3. Do you have mod experience with reddit or Lemmy

  4. What do you like about c/trans? What would you improve?

  5. Do you have experience with using bots on Lemmy and with the python language?

Note: there are no right and wrong answers to these questions. The only hard requirement that we have to be a mod is that you have to be an active member of the community and have a history of that.

Edit: The new mods have been selected. Thank you to everyone who applied.

    1. For it to be a safe space for trans people to hang out in.
    2. Central time, United States
    3. I used to mod a small minecraft subreddit.
    4. I love the sense of community here, which I think comes from it being so small, although sometimes I wish there were more people here to interact with.
    5. No experience with bots, but I do have python experience.

    1. To be a safe space for trans/NB/gender diverse individuals

    2. GMT-7/Pacific

    3. I never bothered modding on reddit but I have small amounts of modding experience in general. Currently modding a few small comms here but never done anything bigger than a few dozen users.

    4. I like the fact that it’s a general trans community for discussion and news. I enjoy talking about the trans experience in general so I feel at home here when I do contribute. I’m not sure what I’d improve, I’m very much a ‘play it by ear’ kind of person.

    5. I don’t have any experience with bots on lemmy but I do have a bit of python experience and would enjoy the opportunity expand my knowledge on it.

    3. No prior Reddit/Lemmy modding experience.
    4. I like the open-ended questions! They’ve been a great start for getting a conversation going.
    5. I used to work with Python professionally as internal support for a web hosting co., but haven’t used them specifically for botting on Lemmy
