Two years: we’re screwed
Fifty years: believe it or not, still screwed
150 years later after our colony in Sirius, alpha centauri and the artificial habitat we made at the home system on top of a now recovered Earth: Once again, we are still screwed!
so far there is no money to be made in saving the world, so no one seems to care.
I propose a new hook…
“two years to not murder your own kids”.
perhaps that may get a few more people on board. but, then again, murdering kids has historically been profitable too.
They just assume they can buy them and their kids out of any problems.
The hook should be “Food riots will target rich neighbourhoods first”
They won’t, though.
The instability and chaos will hurt the poorest and most vulnerable first. In their communities. Always does.
The perception of a threat is the same as a real threat.
Two years to convince 50-some-odd companies not to murder your kids, more like.
And the collective consumers/users of all of those companies. Corporations do not operate in a vacuum.
I think companies already know it’s too late. I’m expecting one last cash grab before it’s too late.
yep, COP28 was a good example of that…
