No Blame towards the 1% fueling the culture war responsible.

While looking at root causes and contributing factors is very important, none of that absolves people for their own actions.

I would argue it is the sole reason behind the action. Blaming each other gets us nowhere, nor stops the violence. There is a concerted effort here to divide the country. One could rationally look at the 1% as the driving factor behind 99% of the world’s problems. If the culture war propaganda stopped, we could make progress.

Regardless of what the reasons behind actions are, individual are still responsible for their own actions. If a group of Klansmen does a lynching, should they just go free because Fox news made them do it?

Of course people are responsible for their actions but the fact remains it wouldn’t have happened in the in the first place without paid professionals manufacturing propaganda, driving this culture at the behest of corporate interests

Right. Where is the compassion here ?

It’s all very well to observe human behaviour and society, with the benefit of a doctorate level education.

What about the masses born to wage slave parents and raised by the TV set and youtube, educated at barely functional schools , teaching corporate funded curriculums ?

we are taught selfishness as a virtue and pitted against each other from day one. we are taught to idolise the rjch and famous, that TV sport is more important than civic/community engagement.

every time we open our eyes, we are being marketed to and indoctrinated by finely tuned propaganda machines.

so yeah, when we elect a sub human conman, i am somewhat sympathetic toward those who were conned. hard as it may be.
