Observing supernovas is always cool, being able to see it from multiple angles because of gravitational lensing is even cooler.
The odds of a supernova lining up perfectly to generate an Einstein Cross right from our vantage point are… well… they’re astronomical, that’s what they are.
That thing is so distant, I would’ve thought it would be a quasar, instead of a supernova.This is radical, thanks for sharing - a perfect example of something I would never get to see on Reddit back in the day. I would either glaze over or skip. The picture is unbelievable.
Yeah its really cool. I also used to post some of the stuff i would see in feeds in reddit, mostly would get buried.
