Source? Because all the numbers seem to agree on it.
Hah, I had that happen to me, it was funny.
Yeah, there was plenty of discussion on Reddit back in the day about the drawbacks and pitfalls of the blocking system. Surprised to see people calling for its implementation here.
Doesn’t quite recapture the feel of the 1st season to me, but still a great watch
Yep, happened on Reddit exactly as you theorised.
This happened exactly as you describe on Reddit.
It’s not even theoretical. Reddit implemented this and the exact behaviour you described happened. Somebody tested and documented it.
though they are still able to see, vote, comment, and mine your content for descriptive data which can, has, and will lead to doxxing
Like 100% of the internet, you mean?
Reddit implemented this, and it was abused heavily to push trolls posts and disinformation up the algorithm, since by blocking people who disagreed with them, after multiple attempts the naysayers could no longer see the posts.
Somebody tested it, and was able to get their testing misinformation posts heavily upvoted after just a few days.
Deadliest? What junk media have you been consuming?
Occasionally I wonder if I should unblock .ml to get more content, then I always remember why they’re blocked in the first place.
Apple has about 259 shows and movies compared to Netflix’s approximately 18,000.
Given genre preferences, that’s about 20 watchable shows, then?
Just a note, it is actually so offensive to a woman’s role in society that many (most? I have no idea) scholars think that it was so over-the-top that it must have been meant as a critique of the then-status-quo.
The author outright stated that it was meant as a critique in the 2nd edition, so there’s no need to guess :)
The question as always is, where should the line be drawn? And realistically, the parents are the ones with the most say over the decision, so it’s never going to be a purely logical choice.
This starves society of resources to overcome far more pressing social needs like building hundreds of thousands of units of public housing.
Given current events, defense IS a social need. The US can no longer be trusted to defend the western world, given how willing they are to elect idiots who will sell out to the highest bidder. Anybody who shares a border with Russia needs to get their military in tip top condition.
It’s not like there’s a single standard way to spell it
So… you unilaterally decided to change the method of comms you and your friends had been using, then decided they were bad friends for not falling in line?
See the linked article elsewhere in this post, they had to wear safety goggles around it when it was in use.
2020 was highest ever in history (or at least the last few decades). 2024 was slightly less than 2020, but still taking 2nd place in raw numbers. To call that ‘low’ is extremely inaccurate and misleading.
