Oh for emergency in the car tools totally get the good stuff. But when you are trying to outfit your garage cheaply to get stuff done, it’s a good enough starting point.
Here in the upper mid west a lot of schools teach Spanish. Not at a you can speak level usually. Similar to how a lot of people learn biology and forget it all when they graduate.
In my state there was some reason they wanted us all to take a second language (I think it was some scholarship we would qualify for our something?) and I always thought the reason most schools had Spanish was because finding a teacher certificated to teach Spanish was more common than other languages. And both of mine were just Midwest white dudes.
Or American English and maybe southern American English? Not sure thats different enough to count.
Depending on how diverged they are people can communicate between them with various words or phrases that are different.
Ex. Americans use the word toilet, England uses loo (which might also refer to the whole bathroom? I’m sure someone from England will correct me)
Oh neat, that’s cool but one benefit I have found from thingiverse’s age and the fact that people would have to actively go delete their models is I have found mods for old 3d printer hardware I’m trying to keep alive that their creators have left the hobby (did it in highschool never owned a printer is what I guessed) that are still useful. If they had self hosted their models they would be gone, and I don’t know a good way to search all various self hosted stuff for models
Yeah around the same time as those fbi ones there were ones like that but they generated new ones with randomized names trying to hide. I think
Around 2013-2014ish when the fake FBI viruses when commen, I worked at a tech help desk at my university fixing student computers.
We didn’t have a bootable virus scan avaliable but I discovered it you ctrl-alt-deleted you could tell the system to log out, it would close everything and log out.
but if during a split second when the device was turning on before the virus blocked the screen and actions you opened a word doc or something,
then when you logged out it would close everything (including the virus’s window that was blocking the screen) but the word doc and ask if you wanted to save the document first. By hitting cancel it would stop the logout completely and we could run the various virus scans to get rid of it.
