Well, MatPat still does it: “Welcome internet to X theory and today we’ll be talking about Y!” On a more serious note, I can see many people going back to reddit.
Agreed. Most wholesome furry conversion story ever.
lol don’t put any money into their IPO. It’s impossible to predict where the market goes, no exceptions, but reddit is most certainly a stock no one should invest in, given the current light of events.
Reddit was good for this stuff. Notice how I said Was. It used to report the headlines, now the headlines are reporting on it.
Y*ff Steve Huffman (u/spez) and Reddit, every social media giant is slowly starting to break down and Twitter and Reddit prove this. Facebook’s basically deserted, YouTube has its capabilities but lots are ditching it for TikTok because why pay attention to a 1 hour video essay when you can ruin your attention span watching girls doing cringe dances in their bedrooms? I haven’t even heard of Instagram in a while, and Twitch isn’t suffering but it ain’t doing great either. I’m predicting a lot of people are gonna join the fediverse 2023-2030.
Not trans, but I do feel the fandom is one of the places where people can truly flourish. I feel too much of society wants people to conform, but with the enthusiasm and creativity the fandom harbours it’s definitely one of the best places for discovering who you really are and personal experimentation.
I tried opening a new account called spezzedout to exclusively troll subreddits with no moderation after the blackout but I accidentally decided to check out a sub I was banned from and Spezzedout was permanently suspended and recieved 3 days suspension on my primary. Thank goodness, my primary has 14.4K and it’d be a shame to lose that much (Not like it is gonna matter after the blackout)
