Governments need to get a grip on subscriptions in the automotive industry. This is getting out of hand and needs regulation.
Good I really missed this.
I wrote it lol. Fuck do I really sound that much like a bot?
The main benefits of private trackers are:
Download speed. Many users of these trackers will use seedboxes to build ratio. This generally results in a faster download speed for peers.
Security. Many (but not all) private trackers have strict entry barriers, such as invite only or application based signups. This keeps copyright trolls out of their swarms, which eliminates the need for a vpn or other method of masking your identity. Depending on where you live this can range from a nicety to a necessity.
Longevity. Torrents generally live longer on private trackers.
Community. Some private trackers have a forum or IRC channel where you can interact with other community members.
Availability. Many private trackers will have a wider range of releases of a single media.
Quality. You will generally find higer quality releases on private trackers. That’s not to say that high quality releases don’t make it to public trackers, some do and some don’t.
Faster releases. Releases will typically come to private trackers first. May torrents originate on these trackers or come from scene groups and trickle down.
If you’re finding everything you want on public trackers then you probably aren’t missing anything. You could test the waters on TL or something next time they open.
Could you post a list of all the projects you have coded up for this and a description of their purpose? Is there a GitHub repo or somewhere we could check them out?
Are you looking to host these projects individually, or combined on one server/website?
Lastly, are you asking only for financial assistance, or do you need programmers to help build/maintain these projects too?
Apologies if I have missed something, but a little more information here would be nice.
I have build 3214677 change 4155897. I am unsure what specific version this is, but IIRC this was a 0-day release.
New tiling looks great!
Wow thanks for this post, OP, very well written and informative for the community.
I get where you’re coming from but it makes sense to have equivalents for some of them. Like in this case, people are going to want a place to share and watch crazy/shocking videos.
TL’s seeding requirements really aren’t that bad. A lot of people don’t realize you don’t have to do that seeding 24/7 if you don’t rent a seedbox or a have dedicated machine. If you want you can close your client while you use your computer and keep it running when, say, you’re at work or asleep. Similarly if you want to turn your computer off overnight or something that’s fine too. You’ll just get a HnR warning that will clear once you open your client again.
Once you start to rank up your required seed time lowers. It bottoms out at just 4 days if you get to the TL-God user rank.
Road 96 was really fun and the soundtrack was great.
Aside from some of the things mentioned here, Death Trash is a pretty neat indev rpg.
I really like Golf With Your Friends.
Mount & Blade Warband is fantastic and I highly recommend it if you haven’t played it.
Unrailed! is a neat little coop game to play with friends. If you buy this one on Steam you can use remote play together so only one person in your group needs to buy it.
Ultimate Chicken Horse is fun for a while with friends. Same deal with remote play together with this game.
Both Hotline Miami games are really fun.
Not on my end.
I am so excited for the future release of COSMIC. You all are doing incredible work.
Niche communities are what made Reddit fun/useful to me. It was really nice to have discourse with a community that liked the same video game, movie, hobby, political ideals, etc, that you did.
Guides and tutorials were the other big thing. I utilized and contributed guides on Reddit regularly. It was really nice to engage with a community to solve an issue rather than use some AI generated or ad ridden article.
I hope to see Lemmy fill these gaps and it seems it has the potential to do so.
CDDA and Shatered Pixel Dungeon arey favorites.
