It’s been a week since I’ve posted any 2D art! I guess real world concerns are taking up most of my headspace lately, and a good escape into manga might be good for my health.

Five years ago, Seinen manga publication Harta covers looked much different from later covers I’ve posted here before. Harta used to have different cover Illustrators every issue. They’ve been run by several publishers over the years. They adapt to the times and keep on doing their thing. I should too.

My loyal airheads, I must report that we no longer have the most threads of any Mbin magazine. The strongest lifting gas !hydrogen@fedia.io has overtaken us. I’ve sent them a post congratulating them, but they might not take it well. In a few weeks, I’m probably doing that for !Greece@fedia.io too.

In the era of the first powered airships, hydrogen was generated by pouring lots and lots of sulfuric acid over lots and lots of iron filings. While hydrogen production is far safer now, hydrogen is currently banned as a lifting gas in the US. With the correct precautions, I think we’re due for a hydrogen renaissance. I’d rather save the helium for MRI machines, honestly.

Wandi Wang from Chongqing, China gave up her career in newscasting to paraglide full time and posting on YouTube and Instagram. Could we make a vacuum balloon of out this acrylic bubble? If it’s sealed airtight, it might be strong enough to contain a vacuum without imploding, thus making it several pounds lighter than when it has air inside. Make stable acrylic vacuum bubbles big enough, and they’ll float like balloons. We were so close to this future once…

Our world has turned upside down. But at some point, we just have to adapt and get back in the air. We still have work to do.

Oh! I didn’t know it was actually against the game’s code of conduct to ram like this. In that case, ramming is breaking a rule, and the offender should be reported and punished. What is the punishment for ramming like this, anyway? Is this win taken away from them?

If the developers don’t want players to ram each other, that rule should be enforced by the game itself. Either don’t have realistic collisions between players, or prevent cars from going offroad after a collision, or instantly take away the offender’s money or points.

Fighting game tournaments usually allow everything that’s possible in the game engine, but there are exceptions like intentionally crashing the game.

We’re using #levitation tag a lot this week, and that’s gonna happen on the week of Halloween. Like most of 6_chair’s work, this actually doesn’t have a title. The closest connection I could make was a Len Kagamine song about vampires, so I named it after that even though it’s probably incorrect. Len here is just chilling in the air for the fun of it, and Rin and Kaito are doing their own vampire style thing too.
