When I said that I will pass over articles, I meant see articles in my RSS and decide not to post them. I totally understand your frustration and exacerbation and ask for you to have a little patience. I will pin this so the process of posters being more picky about what they post is expedited a little.
This community is for all discussion about electric vehicles. Different posters will have different ideas as to what makes a good post. A lot of the time, I will pass over articles because I’m not particularly interested in any discussion they may spur nor do I think people particularly care. But other posters will have their own ideas. I think as things settle down, we’ll see more personalities come through and everyone will rein themselves in a bit, but they need time to settle in and get comfortable.
While I agree that the government should fund sensible things. We’re not even willing to fund our NHS, we’re not about to fund free transport. So we need to look at practical means to make it fund itself and force the public to change their habits.
How are you planning to pay the train drivers and station staff? I love free transport systems, but they’re never actually free and at least in the UK, there’s so much staked into the system that it’s impossible to just flip a switch, declare it free and expect it to survive.
How great or united is a country that can’t even protect babies?
I actually think it’s a societal issue rather than an intelligence issue. As a society we boost celebrities and put them on a pedestal almost deifying them. While at the same time we create a poisonous world and also ignore mental health. So of course people will follow celebrities like a religion hoping to bask in their glory at worst and change their life at best.
With Caitlyn, she should’ve faded to obscurity years ago and a better society would’ve ensured she needed for nothing. She should at least feel a sense of responsibility but again, capitalism is all about trampling on the weak and getting ahead.
Until we eradicate monetary wealth and support mental health as a matter of course at all levels, things like this will happen and people like this will thrive. We have to end capitalism for a better tomorrow.
The 4680 isn’t a dud, but the whole industry is betting on solid state and investing a lot in that. If the 4680 finds success, that will divert money away from solid state. As things stand, the 4680 is barely good enough and Zeng clearly isn’t taking any chances and wants to kill it in its cradle.
That requires a surveillance state sadly. But the best solution is to charge (non disabled) drivers a toll fee for journeys under 3 miles, making it so they’re forced to use public transport or bikes for short journeys.
It’s never okay to dead name. Even people you find despicable. Dead naming isn’t about them, it’s about you… like being polite to wait staff.
If they had decent offerings, demand would still be sky-high. Even Kia and Hyundai are doing better than Ford.

That would require it to do more than bridge circuits when pressure is applied to certain points. I’m interested to see what their next iterations will be, if they’ll have any robotics or artificial intelligence.

I think it’s important to remember that there’s no karma here. Post what you’re interested in and willing to engage in discussion about as a rule of thumb. Also try and stay away from announcements, like "Brand X announces they’ll come out with Car 2000 in 2026 as there’s generally very little info or anything to talk about. There are of course exceptions, but I’m just talking general rule of thumb. If there’s a BYD enthusiast, they’ll of course post it, but it’s fine, because they’ll reply to every comment. The key is to let your posts reflect you. Articles are fine, but people are better.
