  • Americans are weird. Four years ago, Trump lost the election and he was dumped from Twitter in a heartbeat. Enters Musk and buys Twitter, baptizes it as X. Somehow, Musk achieved the unachievable. No, he didn’t make Twitter profitable, he makes it even shittier. Trump gets back to X. Presidential elections happen. Trump wins in a landslide. Bluesky arises. Now Democrats have their own social media club and Republicans, conservative minds, stay in X. Really, if the USA won’t change their electoral system it could separate into two or three different countries at this point.

Except, for now, they will unite against Mexico, Iran and China.

  • It’s weird. In general, in the greentext community I just reply something stupid and move on. You guys are commenting what seems serious, at the same time there are a lot of people commenting about how we should have gone nuclear, etc. Now, I don’t know if you’re being serious or you are trolling as I would with a less apocalyptic topic.

There, feels like I made it.

  • BTW, and now that we are doing this, dandruff is not a sign of lack of hygiene. It is a common symptom of skin conditions like dermatitis. I don’t like to recommend subreddits in Lemmy, but take a look at r/sebderm and read a couple of threads there. Fortunately, most people don’t know it, but a chronical skin condition can get you suicidal.

  • It’s called History. Give it a try. Having a crazy amount of weapons did and didn’t help you before, so it won’t always give you the edge. History, though, always helps. By the way, this country is still called Mexico, which is a Nahuatl name, Nahuatl is also called “Mexicano”, which was the language most people talked before the “drunk conquistadores” came to this land. Maybe we Mexicans did leveled up the tech after all, it just looks like that for a childish country mentality.

  • I did listen and while Rogan is unbearable to me, I do think a presidential candidate can’t say no to an invitation to someone with this reach. If the interview were to be like your link, that would have helped Harris in the end, in my opinion. It’s Joe Rogan the one acting like an idiot here, not the caller. Even if his audience may love him, I don’t know, the population that do not have any attachment for the guy would stand on Harris’ side.

  • Sorry, I’m a latino, Mexicano, living in México, so I don’t really have the slightest idea of how did this happen. Can someone give it a try?

EDIT: While I appreciate all of your replies, I’m even more confused as I see people mentioning “hispanic americans” as a synonym for “latino”. This was an interesting read about the confusion. However, the reasons seem to be addressed against Hispanic Americans, but the meme os against Latinos. It feels a bit artificial or even prejudicial. Sorry for this edit, I’m not really sure about what I’m trying to say.
