Of course, it’s not normal for such high temperatures so early in the summer, or for them to occur more and more often. I’m not implying we are used to climate change, just that we are used to much hotter weather than other people.

If you look into the article, when this is mentioned, there is a relevant link. I think it is worth taking a look at it, because it gives perspective on this topic. Actually, a few, not only one.

It looks like the IMO’s pledge to reduce emissions by at least 20% is totally feasible. At least according to the following recent study

Not only would those relatively simple interventions reduce emissions from a major, direct source of greenhouse gases, the technology to implement these measures already exists.

Maybe so, maybe no. It’s not predetermined.

It’s what we do now that will shape the future. I mean, we the people. We cannot rely on governments or corporations to do the right thing without us forcing them to. By now, we know this.
