I’ve forgotten about that movie! It’s as if every fear, and suspicion, I had about the people working in restaurants came true 😂. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it’s memes…going to have to dig into the old meme folder and get posting

How did you like The Holdovers? I’ve been wanting to add that to my streaming queue
Same! I think the only one I didn’t really care for was Covenant, I felt it wasn’t paced the same as his other movies, but I’d still watch it again if it was streaming.
In regards to Snatch and Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, also two of my favorite movies, thanks for pointing them out, defintely a fun time!
There is! Peninsula IMHO it wasn’t better/as good/worse than the first, it was just different
Agreed! I honestly not sure which was the most messed up of all the revelations
These are some of my favourite, in no particular order:
The Phantasm series

A bitter sweet life
The man from nowhere
I saw the Devil (you may not want to watch this one)

Same here, I feel as though I see the Oral-B heads on sale at least once a month, but the Sonicare heads are almost never on sale. Years ago I noticed the Philips Sonicare site running sales around Black Friday, but there haven’t been any for the last couple of Black Fridays.
Every now and again I’ll see discounted heads on Amazon, but I’ve also heard stories that there is a 50/50 chance of getting a knock-off that won’t work with handles - as Amazon combines all of their products for storage regardless of the seller
And here I thought the 70s were a wild time:
Aerial Artillery Design Study - Two Externally-Mounted XM204 Howitzers on a CH-47C Helicopter
Abstract:
Design arrangement and mounting approaches, weight estimates, balance calculations, stress analyses, and helicopter performance predictions of an aerial artillery system utilizing two externally-mounted 105mm XM204 soft recoil howitzers on a CH-47C Chinook helicopter are presented. This design provides for all the firing modes and operational capabilities required by the Weapons Command, including the ability to offload one howitzer when the helicopter is hovering. The study includes an analysis of the structural integration of the weapons and aircraft including muzzle blast effects and airframe dynamic responses. A minimum adequate fire control system for air-to-ground firing and typical ground artillery fire control equipment was included.

I’ll admit I’m not sure of the pros/cons of either. All I know about sheep/goats is that sheep produce wool, and goats produce milk…and I’m pretty sure the only reason I know that, is due to one of the many city builders I’ve played 😂
I too have been working on an infinite energy solution…lets just say it involves buttered toast, and a cat:
My only issue has been, after a few roations, a mysterious portal opens up, and my experiment disappears
Same. This is just one of the many articles that state China has been building a moon base ‘within the decade,’ since 2003 (before China, it was USSR, then Russia):

I guess this is one way to get congress to spend money on space
Are you the guy that made a tortilla press for his 3yr old? I saw this on Imgur and it made my day imgur.com link.
I had no idea homemade tortilla presses were a thing, but I guess they had to come from somewhere before mass production
That’s a pretty boss move, I don’t know if I’d be that quick thinking
Omen, Excorcist, Nightmare on Elm St, Jason, Cujo, Friday the 13th - I was a very free range kid. The one that really sticks out is (IIRC) The Amityville Horror. There is a scene with these red glowing eyes down a dark hallway…the adult in me knows it was probably just some guy with two flashlights, but it still raises the hairs on my arms thinking about it
TiL Pizza rolls have been around since 1977! That’s just amazing. I’m going to need to add pizza rolls to my next grocery run
For anyone willing to take one in the nostalgia: Babylon 5 20th Anniversary Reunion at Phoenix Comicon 2013
I started using Konsole because of the “Copy Input To” and Bookmark features years ago. Even when I run Gnome I stilll install Konsole…it sometimes takes a little tweaking to get it to obey the theme colors, but for my workflow it’s worth it. I’d recommend determining your must have features for your work and start there.
As another example, on Windows, I was a heavy Putty user, mostly because when working with remote support, that’s what they’re familar with. I then had a need to export my putty saved sessions, it was then that I found out it was not possible. Kitty on the other hand had loads of QoL features like that. I still keep Putty portable around for the one off remote support user who is determmined to use only Putty, but my go to on Windows is Kitty
Thanks for the suggestion! I think that’s how I’d describe A man called Otto, and I love that movie
