True true. I think I see it like this good old xkcd.

Especially since a grease fire is very hard to put out unless you smother it. Using an extinguisher on a grease fire is not a good idea.
The real YSK is of course in the comment. =) Thank you for expanding on this. It’s always important to make sure you are prepared. You don’t have time to google these things when the disaster is at hand. If you’re not prepared when a fire breaks out you might panic and make dumb decisions. This goes for all stressful situations of course. Make sure you have some plan for common emergencies. That goes for medical emergencies as well as fires.
I’m not really into Marvel anymore, but please continue posting. There are too few people here yet but diligence will help these places grow. It’s like the mod of /r/disney said on Kbin. A subreddit of 500k people like Disney only generated a few dozen posts a day. It’s difficult to start from scratch but we need people like you!
I really need to get started with Geometry nodes and then simulation nodes. It seems to definitely be the next step. Not only in Blender but also in 3D over all. It seems like a valuable skill.
I have a library of add-ons. Some free and some paid. But to be frank, since they get reset with every blender update, I don’t really need any of them. Especially the add-ons that take some time to set up. So the add-ons that I constantly use are the ones that are bundled with Blender.
Nice job! I like the detailed texture on the screen of the VU meter-thingy. How did you make that?
Same thing for me. But I mostly lurk on reddit. I’d like to make an effort to post here though!
Other people have said the important parts. I’m not sure if you were on reddit for long. But if you think back to the early days of reddit it was not as stable as you might think now. The site was constantly down and there were many bugs. The user interface was still in development. Lemmy could be a diamond in the rough. Give it some sharpening and it will be a good place. I guess it’s up to the users.
I guess it depends on what you’re here for. I’m not really looking for friends as much as insightful comments from people of similar interests. Quality posts need a certain amount of people to show up. Like the guy spending months and years making the perfect photo of the moon. Would that happen in a forum with ten people? I don’t think so. Not to say that quality content wont happen here. It’s all up to each and every one of us in the end, and people seem to leave longer comments of better quality and substance. Lets do our best and see where it goes!
Yeah, I feel this. I wont make communities since I’m not the moderator type. But I will make an effort to post which in my case is a step up since I mostly lurk.
Maybe adding some Cloudflare service or similar would benefit Lemmy. I think Kbin has it but that is moot as long as other instances don’t.
