big fucking yikes.

y’know i’m honestly a little relieved that other conservatives are just as willfully ignorant as the ones i have to interact with in person.
republicans are gleeful about trump’s “friendship” with putin. it drives me up the fucking walls, i feel like i’m being told the sky is purple constantly.
it’s gonna be a real needle in a haystack of bastardized imitations though. which i suppose is always at least somewhat the case with important works of art.
god i still need to read that book.
it plays really well with proton, i have 168 hours all on linux. it’s THE GAME that fully convinced me visuals don’t matter at all if the gameplay is tight.
My dad has a friend try to talk him into amway sometime in the late 80s/early 90s. He had painted a pyramid shape onto cinder blocks in his basement to explain the revenue stream and everything.
He said no, but that friend ended up high enough in a payment chain that he’s still rich as sin, and my dad got to be one of the scant few that turned down what would’ve actually been a lucrative business venture in a pyramid scheme.
tangential but, when i was teenage-ish i had a friend of a friend that was always kind of standoffish with me. i’m a people pleaser so i was always looking for some way to connect with this guy, but i reckon that was coming across in a weird/bad way.
anyway at one point i found out we had the same birthday, year and everything! i thought it was pretty neat, but he thought i was lying. i got really insistent because from my perspective i had no reason to lie about something so mundane, and ig that rubbed him the wrong way because iirc he never spoke to me again.
the forums on that blog were my first brush with the internet as a teenager, always fun seeing it pop up in the wild ^^
yeah it’s some kinda curse, no one can come up with a name for them that isn’t terrible.
thank you for the discourse, i appreciate your candor ^^
of course it’s dailymail lmao
i mean you did post it. it’s not like you’re responsible for every word in the article, but this is kind of a weird take.
i respect your perspective, i’m absolutely not unblocking it tho.
it’s not the fact that they defended the man, it’s the way they were doing it. my experience has been wholly more enjoyable post-block, and i’d recommend anyone else in my shoes do the same thing.
i saw too much bad faith engagement to validate staying around in spite of “a few bad apples”. for a hot minute if it was posted on .world then anyone arguing for the bear in the comments would get dogpiled and downvoted to shit, and to me that was indicative of a larger problem than just “being too popular”
am i crazy or were the wii guitars like, uncharacteristically good? they’re the only ones i had growing up, and then i bought a ps2 guitar for clone hero recently and it’s TRASH in comparison!
It was produced in France, but it actually premiered in the USA first by almost half a year!
you’re pretty much right! there is a difference, but one fold won’t be largely discernible on something like a piece of paper.
the initial comment was about foldable screens though, which are both expected to fold more then just the once, and are also much more prone to failure as a result of inter-layer stress.
the issue isn’t that you see the screen deforming, rather the tiny deformations you can’t see are causing issues like delamination or seemingly random failure. but hey, extra stretchy screens could, if not entirely fix, at least mitigate this particular problem!
nah b i was on the side of: if men are getting offended over people choosing the bear, then they should be looking inward rather than picking fights with the question
it does though! even for very thin objects like a sheet of paper, bending anything will stretch/squish material depending on whether it’s on the inside or outside of the bend. that’s why paper becomes creased when it’s folded!
an easy way to think about it is with tubes. the inside circumference is always smaller than the outside because when you introduce a curve you’re either lengthening the outside, shortening the inside, or both.
