What a beautiful short film. It’s both heartwarming and heartbreaking. All the customers who have become more than just customers, who appreciate the bakery as a third place, are more than willing to pay higher prices if it means that this place and the protagonist’s dream can stay. But the reason for this display of solidarity is what makes me sad. So many small businesses can’t just increase their prices because their customers couldn’t afford it, but if they don’t increase prices, they’ll go out of business soon. In reality, this is often a lose-lose situation.

Thank you for sharing this short animation here. Despite its short length and lack of dialogue, it’s still very touching. I don’t know what the intended message is – if it’s just a feel-good story or genuine criticism of capitalist markets – but it offers a lot to talk about.
