Personally mine was Goldie from Rock-a-doodle. I probably watched that movie 100 times on VHS as a kid.
I mean, look at this cutie:
Look back in my memories and it’s no surprise I am a furry. TMNT, Teddy Ruxpin, Care Bears, MLP (the OG from the 80’s), Animalympics, Looney Tunes, at least a third of all Nicktoons, pretty much every Disney cartoon ever…
Though personality also goes a long way, and I have more respect for these characters for their personality and actions than any real human being alive today.
I’m so with you. For me it started with Tails when I was like 7-8… I didn’t know what sex stuff was, I just wanted to like… be his friend. Maybe hold his hand. Touch his tails. Nothing weird, just budz.
Then both Robin Hood and Maid Marian… strange feeling.
Then Animaniacs. Mostly their personalities. Not so much Dot.
Then Renamon.
Then Krystal.
Then Kyubi (we’re gonna pretend there is no human form).
It was all over once I found The Furry Thread on DDRFreaks forums in the early 00s.
