I dated a lady I met in an autism support group. We had both been recently diagnosed, so you can imagine that autism was all we talked about. One of our things was to humorously point out all the things we do that are autistic since we were so oblivious of our traits until that point. We actually had a lot of fun doing this. Anyway, she often pointed out how I reliably answered rhetorical questions, even when they were supposedly obviously not meant to be answered. I just didn’t want her to feel dismissed. 🤷‍♂️

    No, it’s a butterfly. /s

    Personally, I have this annoying compulsion to be the “um, actually” guy. If someone says something that’s wrong, I feel such a great need to correct them, or at the very least get involved. This happens even if I know they were being wrong as a joke, were being sarcastic or it’s an argument that we aren’t going to agree on. It’s super frustrating, and I bet at times it annoys people. ;_;

      Yep! When I visited the Bodies exhibit back in like 2006, I caught an error in one of the displays. I can’t remember exactly what it was, but I think it was something to do with putting “insulin” instead of “glucagon”. I knew I was right because I was taking a class that covered the material and it was fresh knowledge. I went up to the museum employee to tell him about the error. The dude straight up just walked away from me and started talking to someone else. I found that really disrespectful, so I went somewhere online (maybe their website) and wrote the error and the rude employee’s behaviors as a comment. I wish I remember where I posted that.

        I saw one in the RAF museum too (the one in London) and, luckily, had a nice conversation with the staff there.

      We are the exact same. I did it here recently and someone told me that no one likes me. :) Oh well.
