I can hide the firefox-badge of webapps when you edit the icon on the homescreen. I’m on nova launcher. Is that the case for other launchers as well? Can you set a rule that hides all badges?

I’m not aware of a setting that removes the app badge from all shortcuts, only the Edit option you found already.
I’ve also not used launchers other than Nova.
