The irony is that the things that wokeness cancels and washes away are bigotry and intolerance that work against individualism and demand conformity.

Wokeness is the acceptance of people different from yourself. The anti-woke people want everyone to be white straight conservative Christian nationalists.

The assumption that everyone who is anti-woke wants a world of “white, straight, conservative Christian nationalists” is both simplistic and wrong. It reduces complex individuals with diverse reasons for opposing wokeness into a strawman caricature.

Many people who critique wokeness aren’t motivated by bigotry but by legitimate concerns about how the ideology is applied—often silencing dissent, prioritizing performative gestures over substantive action, and fostering division under the guise of unity.

Critics of wokeness often value free thought and open dialogue, which can clash with the rigid moral framework that wokeness sometimes demands. At its extremes, wokeness enforces ideological conformity, where failing to perfectly align with every nuance of its evolving rules risks ostracism or cancellation. This isn’t about rejecting equality or diversity; it’s about rejecting a new orthodoxy that can stifle genuine debate and alienate potential allies who disagree with its methods.

To claim that all anti-woke individuals share the same narrow ideology ignores the diversity within their ranks.

People from all walks of life—including liberals, moderates, and minorities—have voiced concerns about wokeness for its tendency to focus on symbolism rather than substance. Which is also why the presidential election went the way it did. It was just “white racist” people who voted for Trump. lol

Reducing every critique to hatred or intolerance not only shuts down meaningful conversation but ironically perpetuates the very intolerance wokeness claims to oppose. True progress requires grappling with these critiques honestly, not dismissing them with shallow generalizations.

So, exactly what you did to people supporting wokeness. Got it.

“I” didn’t do anything of the sort.

The reality is that there are plenty of people, on all political spectrums, doing this sort of thing. And it’s wrong, regardless of who is doing it.

          Thanks!

You didn’t say that, but the article you posted and are defending sure did a lot.
