    I just don’t know with this guy…

Like 4/5 things he says make me think “holy shit, yes! The science has been clear for decades, highly processed food is the primary cause of obesity and probably more, but no one has been willing to actually take a stand against it”. Even stuff like the camps for mental illness… Yeah, it sounds bad coming from an administration of fascists, but having a place where you can just exist as long as you need while doing chores is actually a sorely needed safety net that would genuinely make an enormous difference, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and many disorders are effectively treated by just letting people exist while doing basic labor

Then I get to the fifth thing, and I realize “holy shit, this guy is just actually insane”. It recontextualises the first 4, because if you get rid of highly processed food by killing the FDA people are just going to get straight up poisoned. And the mental health retreat turns into a work camp if it’s no longer completely voluntary

All in all, I don’t know how to feel about the guy. Like, vaccines are probably going to become a mess of proprietary bullshit if we cut regulation and stop pushing for heard immunity… But they’re probably going to become unaffordable and suffer the same fate with a replacement pick anyways

But I think he actually believes what he’s saying…I just think his brain is broken. Would it be better or worse to have someone who just wants deregulation because they were paid off? Would it even make a difference if the rest of the administration is going to use everything for the worst outcome through execution anyways?

I just don’t know how to feel about the guy… He’s insane, but I’m certain I won’t be on board with the replacement. He’s a real wild card for sure… Who knows what he would achieve in either direction

Sorry mate, a place where mental health patients to just exist sounds to me like a terrible idea.

Notionally, not having to worry about anything and just do some basic chores might sound therapeutic, but I can assure you that residing in such a place would be a harrowing experience.

      What the F…

And you got your PhD where? How many years of study did it take you to figure out this sweeping solution for all these conditions?

You haven’t a clue making your little gulag for “special” people.

Oh, I’m one of those people. And behavioral activation + removing yourself from bad life circumstances + limiting abstract stressors is literally the best cure we know of

We’re not the problem, the insane world of “adulting” is the problem… Being able to retreat to somewhere where we can just live is a lifeline most can’t afford.

I think he still wants raw milk to be a thing, for fuck’s sake. I don’t know if he’s moved on that at all, given seeing headlines like “guy gives his cats raw milk and kills them with bird flu” type of thing. Maybe even Brainworms is not THAT tone deaf, but who the hell knows.
