That’s not what I said, but thanks for going on a tangent to correct me.

Yeah, it’s sickening that one of the proudest democracies in history is clearly faltering.

However, I thought they taught Americans about the responsibility of democracy. Hell knows we here you bang on about it when invading the rest of the world.

That you’re somehow still focused on “Democracy” (“proud” no less) rather than “genocide” is mind-boggling. You can’t pretend to be self-righteous about American invasions and then just say “whoops, a little genocide, not really important in the grand scheme of things though”.

If you are so polarized in your stance against genocide, why haven’t you booked a ticket to Palestine to volunteer with an aid agency and donate every cent of your net worth to the cause?

Is your comfortable first world life more important that genocide? How absolutely selfish of you! Even replying to this comment will waste valuable seconds you could be saving actual children with.

I’m sure at the Nuremberg Trials Part 2 when they ask what you did to stop the genocide in Gaza and you say you virtue signaled in online comment sections that you’ll get a standing ovation. A modern day saint among us. Please, send me your picture so I can pray to it and tell my children I once spoke to the most virtuous person on Earth.

I’m not lecturing the world. I’m lecturing you. You have shitty morality.

            Poor take.

You could have shown some contrition or humility. It is Your government, that represents You that is encouraging ethnic cleansing abroad and also creating concentration camps for immigrants at home, making You complicit.

And you are complicit, whether that is against your will or not.

Instead of recognising that, you chose to try and teach me about morality and now have decided to judge me.

This is what makes you a hypocrite.

As I say, I feel like being lectured on morality by an American is a common occurrence. You love to tell people how to think and behave whilst you elect rapists and invade countries. And it isn’t just Trump I’m talking about. The US has nearly an unbroken record of inflicting trauma on the world, whether that is over oil, or politics.

And you’ve benefitted from that, and done what? Banged out some judgemental words on a keyboard?

You are behaving exactly like why the world is tired of Americans. You are a bully and a blowhard. You have no humility and you can’t walk away from a fight you lost before you even started.

Saying we’re complicit and should try everything we can to stop it is the whole fucking point. Amazing that you came around to that without ever getting it.

I’m not unclear about whether this is a horrible moral tragedy. You’re the one downplaying that. A lack of power to change it isn’t a moral failing. An unwillingness to even correctly acknowledge the seriousness is.

And you appear to be British. You don’t have a leg to stand on about complicity in imperialism both historically and in recent American efforts. If we are both defined by the sins of our nations we’re both living in glass houses. I’m at least acknowledging our sins.
