i don like them links. like - tell me whatā€™s in the link, donā€™t just ā€œruleā€ and put a link.

i believe that this is not a very lemmy thing to do. especially on mobile, where it leaves the app and opens some shiddy proprietary other social media platform in your browser.

    Links are what make the web amazing. I guess Iā€™m turning into a curmudgeon because I liked the internet better when it was more than 5 sites. I like blogs and weird art sites and homepages. I hate ā€œinstall this appā€ and ā€œsign up to view thisā€.

    I like that my browser can have plugins to block ads or translate stuff in other languages or replace ā€œbillionaireā€ with ā€œoligarchā€.

    A link without context sucks though. Donā€™t just say ā€œruleā€.

      I just am a little nervous accepting rides from strangers as the journey may be long and dangerous, or worse, slap me in the face with a pop up asking for my email to continue reading the article I was barely invested in to start.
