I had almost this exact experience as a kid. I was riding my bike and a group of 5 older kids physically stopped me; I thought I was about to get beat up, but it turns out they were playing a game and needed one more. Ended up hanging out with them for the rest of the day and then went on my way. I’d basically forgotten about it until seeing this comic, so, thanks for that!
