Happy Ides of March everyone! According to the Romans, it is the unluckiest day of the year, with it being cursed (I’m even taking breaks on certain things due to it, as one might notice with the icons). What in your life do you most associate with it?

Thanks and no. But funny enough my wife is a huge Shakespeare nerd. Like takes a beach vacation and just reads Shakespeare in a lounger to relax nerd. So it’s fitting.

it is the unluckiest day of the year

Today is the day that my local area shut down for COVID in 2020. I live near the ocean, the beach was closed, the golf courses were closed, the stores had cops out front stopping looting. It was wild.

I don’t think about it at all. In fact, reading the title, I had no idea what was special about this specific day.

What comes to mind is it was at this point I realized I hadn’t heard from one of my friends in a week and was starting to get worried.

Found out about a month later they died the morning after I saw them last.

    That was in 2020.

        It’s been five years.

They were a good friend, or at leas as good as could be expected. Sean didn’t want flowers or the like. He wanted donations for charities and for those in need. Even at the end, he wanted for others.

So far? I remember waking up and putzing around on my phone. I’ll probably get up soon, then I’ll be able to remember that too.

That time I finally finished the PITA-project of reflooring the room of my oldest kid. On that note, I should probably go back to finishing the reflooring the room of my oldest kid. Almost done!

    UPDATE: Done!
