“Fighting is still ongoing, but even if there is a pause, Ukraine must be turned into a ‘steel porcupine,’” [another] EU diplomat emphasized.

He added that it is crucial to put Ukraine in a strong position for negotiations. Moreover, it is necessary to prevent Russia from using a “second chance” to regroup and launch another attack.

    Anyone knows what Starmer ( UK PM) was really saying or suggesting yesterday, about going forward with the operational plan for a peaceplan? Seemingly, regardless of Moscows (peace) commitment? Sounded like he might be suggesting actual boots, or am I reading too much in that?

        Tnx, so boots and no fly zone etc, are a part, or only an extension of a peace deal?

        It was this sentence that left me wondering, fyi:

        “We have to learn from the mistakes of the past, we cannot accept a weak deal which Russia can breach with ease, instead any deal must be backed by strength,” he said.
