From Fritton Owl Sanctuary

Hi, I’m Eclipse, and I’m one of the youngest owls at the Sanctuary. My first birthday is in April!

I’m a Ural Owl, which are named after the Ural mountains in Russia where my species was first catalogued, but we can be found in the wild from Scandanavia, all along Central Asia to Japan.

I’m extremely playful, nearly always hopping onto the door of my enclosure as it opens to greet any visitors. You can often see me trying to chew on toys, and I’m happy to fly up to the front of my enclosure to get a better look at passers by!
