Finally actually sat down to complete the game and I immediately noticed the script carved into tablets and walls in the final area of the game. It looks like it could be cuneiform writing. Which made me wonder if it actually is, and if it translates to anything.
I know the puppet language has been translated; I can’t find anything about these cuneiform looking carvings tho.
That sounds really interesting - I haven’t noticed myself personally. Do you have legible screenshots to share perchance? I couldn’t find anything online. Maybe AI could help?

I don’t think it’s actual cuneiform. If you look at cuneiform - at least, the common versions of it, I’m sure there was variation given it was literally people inventing writing - you’ll see that all of the strokes are wedge shapes of varying length, and straight scored lines are just used to separate lines and words if they’re there at all. Like there’s this character, 𒃰, which is a triangle, but it’s one made from three wedges instead of three straight lines. There also doesn’t seem to be enough different characters. Akkadian had hundreds of unique characters, and it was just one of many languages written in cuneiform.
I think that the comments in that reddit post are wrong though. I think I can identify at least 20 unique symbols. That’s getting kinda close to being a plausible version of the Latin alphabet
Edit: I tried solving it as a substitution cipher, but frankly I have no experience at this kind of thing and don’t really know how best to go about it. I used one of the panels in the second image since we can clearly see the start and end of each line, but I didn’t manage to get a solution that worked for more than a few words at a time
