I wish someone would write something to make a federated muck. But what mucks were you on?

I didn’t understand computers enough back in the day to join FurryMUCK, even though I really wanted to – but I just wanted to say that the idea of a federated muck actually sounds very appealing

I was really only ever on FurryMUCK. I didn’t venture out much, mostly hanging out in the Purple Nurple.

It was kind of funny that we all had our hangouts, lol.

    Furrymuck, gradually transitioning to Tapestries.

And then Puzzlebox, one of whose former admins is sitting on the couch next to me at this very moment.

I dunno how well a federated muck would work.

Who said anything about it actually working? Details, Details. 😅

I spent a lot of time (under various identities) on TLK MUCK, FurToonia, FluffMUCK, SpinDizzy, and eventually Taps. Fluff was my home base for years. I was never that active on FurryMUCK, although I’ve had accounts there at various times. I’ve always found it weirdly hard to make friends there! The place was too big, maybe.

I’ve spent time on Tapestries, but right now I’m a moderator over on Wolfery, built on Mucklet, which is like a modern spin in the old MUCK design, completely accessible from a web browser.

In the future Mucklet is looking to open up for other servers to be built off of it, possibly in a federated manor (I’ve never talked specifics with the creator on how it’ll work), but as of right now it’s just the one community.
