When I load out with the Breaker Incendiary, one of my friends will occasionally yell “WHY AM I ON FIRE?!” and I just have to play it off like I have no idea.
I’m gonna kill my team so much faster now
Yeah, but there’s still the issue that burning damage doesn’t appear to work for anyone but the host. Unless you’re leading those squads, there’s still no reason to use the Breaker Incendiary or napalm.
Really? I’ve never noticed that before
Yeah, someone did some testing and showed it a few days ago. Allegedly gas might also be affected.
I’m excited for the flame hulk insta-gibs from across the outpost.
Aw crap. I kinda forgot this applied to Hulks as well.
How does the fire breaker interact with armor? I know fire is supposed to ignore it, but I’m not sure if the exact interaction between armor piercing and fire.
The bullet damage doesn’t penetrate, but the fire damage does. So it can still kill things like Hive Guards pretty easily. I usually don’t use it against bots though, but maybe it’s better on this latest patch?
Excellent! Yeah it seems like a pretty significant buff, I’m excited to try it out.
Maybe I can finally use flame thrower on bot missions. Helldiver vs Hulk Scorcher. Only one will survive.
Since they buffed all fire damage, assuming that includes the Hulk Scorcher damage, I’m assuming you’re gonna have a bad time.
Wanna try that sentence again?
N O
Nah, this is fine.
I haven’t played the game but from everything I’ve read so far it seems like the friendly fire simulator
Nothing is more friendly than getting 4 of your own mortars to the face.
In the beginning, yes, but you adjust to it. Honestly it’s a great feature, you can’t just go guns blazing, orbitals blasting.
It really depends on the people you’re playing with, randos don’t tend to communicate
What usually happens is you get swarmed pretty often. Like really really swarmed. Coming from all sides. If you’re not paying attention it’s super easy to walk into someone’s firing line. Or your tracking something and it’s attacking your team and you end up blasting both. Often it’s like “throwing an nuke!” And someone isn’t paying attention when running then go right into it and blamo!
Heh, “fire”
