I’m feeling so much more confident in my trans identity, I te s kind of crazy. I’m at a point where I’m getting more confident removing hair and such.

I’m getting to a point where I’m getting super interested in makeup, especially foundation and contouring to cover my nasty shit and hide my big nose and all…

Also, I so want to get more feminine clothes. A skirt, a dress, something, but idk what, or how to get something to fit my shape?

Basically, I want something new, I have a couple avenues, but I strongly don’t know how to do either.

Try some nail polish and there’s colored chapstick for an easy start, take something with a near natural color.

For clothing you could try a fetish store if you can find one in your area because the people working there have seen everything and so you’ll feel safer. They can probably help you. Alternatively you could try a store that has unisex clothing for a first step. And also stockings can be cheap and they are flexible in fit, so you could order those online.

For foundation you’ll definitely need some support, so maybe that’s quite a big step for you. Because it needs to be the right color for your skin.

I’ve been playing with nail polish for a bit, and definitely enjoy it as a bit of a creative outlet on top of personal expression.

I had not thought of a fetish store, I’m not sure if I have one or not, but will definitely keep that in mind. I’ve been trying to figure out my skin tone so I can get a reasonable idea of where to start.

One of the first things I bought after cracking was those “programmer socks” the thigh highs, but it turns out I’m too thick for “one size fits all” 😅

For choosing the right foundation, the local drug store had little test bottles from which you can drop some color on the skin to try out in-store (as well as a mirror and some remover and paper towels), so we really didn’t need to talk there to anyone find a decent color. (This might not be a universal concept though.)

As a follow-up to this: If you just want to browse go one of the big chains with large stores (like H&M). You can spend hours there gwacking at bras (or whatever else you fancy) and try on as much as you like and no-one will care or even bat an eye over it. (Just don’t do it right before closing, the underpaid staff really hates staying overtime for you. 😅)

On the other hand, the smaller stores tend to offer a more interesting selection (you’ll find out fast enough if you happen to like theirs or not) and the staff can be helpful (or terrible, kinda a luck thing apparently) once you have an idea of what you like.
