In terms of social liberalism, the differences between the two parties are more noticeable. This is because structural politics is defined by undemocratic means, interests, and forces. So we vote on more superficial aspects, such as the culture war and social rights. Which can be important, but most of the time aren’t the real meat of the world’s problems.
