Flashback to when my sister in law had an electric car and felt compelled to plug it in at my place everytime she visited.
So what you’re saying is we need to open a Threads account and become Nazis?
As Moderator to !BestOf, this is my biggest fear. I’ve been working pretty extensively on this community in my spare time and I’m afraid that if the Moderators of r/BestOf decide to federate, we will lose. I’m not entirely nervous about fragmenting the community so much as just being r/LesserBestOf. By design, this community shouldn’t really be fragmentated unless we decide to become BestOf something specific.
Not sure what I expected, but yep… that’s a toaster.
I’ve been on Reddit for like 12 years and I was never banned by an admin. The fact that you got banned twice is sus.
I did get banned from blackpeopletwitter for being white.
With Love,
Moderators of BestOf
Honestly, I think it’s important that people sub to all the same-subject communities across the Fediverse. However… the only time it’s really important to make the distinction is while creating a post. I hope we get the equivalent of ‘multireddits’ for all spaces with the same subject.
Trains can’t fly, gottem.
@lob I’m not sure what that means. I don’t see anything on my end.
@BestOf might be of interest. The community sifts through the junk to share the most insightful comments.
The only way to get back at /u/spez is to promote !BestOf@kbin.social.
You can access most places (if not all) in the Fediverse using your kbin account.
At the top, ‘threads’ are like posts on Reddit. ‘Microblogs’ are like posts on Twitter. ‘Magazines’ are like subreddits.
Every magazine gets their own wall for threads and microblogs.
I also noticed that any moderation doesn’t transfer between instances. I moderate @BestOf. I did remove one post for being irrelevant with the spirit of the community and it’s still there on Lemmy. I hope this is something that can be fixed.
It is profitable.
It’s like making 100K salary and paying the entirety of your $100K mortgage in 1yr and claiming you never made money.
MVP! Thank you @dipbeneaththelasers.
Why does anyone need a ‘men’s space’? I’m a man but I just would not be interested in that specifically. This is the Internet and there’s a space for everything specifically. Sounds like a ‘men’s space’ or a ‘women’s space’ are bound to be filled with intolerance for the other genders.
The Last Kingdom.
I can’t quite put my finger on it but the series really keeps me watching.
