Why does image uploading keep breaking by itself? Or is someone modifying the code without knowing unintended consequences?

I’m on Firefox mobile and it plays fine. I just don’t understand how the gorilla moves so fast. It appears his back legs aren’t moving at all.

Hi! I’m getting an error when trying to upload photos to my communities: SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data, and in the console is a 400 Bad Request, with the error: Request error: error sending request for url (http://pictrs:8080/image): operation timed out. I posted in the lemmy-net github repo issues forum, but wondering if anyone has any ideas here. I see that others have been able to post images recently during the time that I have been unable to, but I also have other users replying to me that they have the same issue, so it is really a puzzling problem. I and others have previously had no issues uploading photos.

And here is the response in the console: “Request error: error sending request for url (http://pictrs:8080/image): operation timed out”. From my very loose understanding, this is maybe a server issue.

I’m pretty new to lemmy in general and have no idea who to ask about this. The github repo “issues” forum? I see no links to talk to a developer about this. I actually get this error all the time when I’m writing my backend apps, but I have no idea how that knowledge would apply to this.

I created the community and it does allow photo uploads.
