The mods of !196@lemmy.blahaj.zone wanted to move the community over to lemmy.world without asking the users. They literally locked down the community and made a post saying “We moved.” That didn’t land well, !onehundredninetysix@lemmy.blahaj.zone was created and quickly grew to a respectable size because lots of people wanted to stay on blahaj. The mods of the original 196 backed down and reopened the old community, but I don’t know what’s gonna happen next. Trust in the mods has been broken by that, though.
