By censoring Luigi, they are bringing more awareness to the fact they are afraid of Luigi. The Verge already published an article about the changes, thus bringing more attention to it. Lol.
This is something that seems to be happening with a lot of social media in america. they are really doubling down on censorship on the platforms (reddit, facebook, tiktok). I personally believe some kind of internal memo was sent by the trump administration that the public does not know about. It’s too big of a coincidence. This stuff is what is sending me to open source social media, and i believe that it will make much more of the public go that way too, eventually.
What if that was the goal all along? 🤯
They tried to steer public sentiment and failed, now they are attempting out right suppression.
In vidya games, if u seeing more enemies, it means you are getting closer to the boss
Y’all know the deal
So time to stock up on pitchforks?
Well past that mon ami.
Anti-tank weapons, maybe some light AA.
Someone with a similar name to you said - “ He who knows his enemy and himself well will not be defeated easily”
Reddit should be sued for removing any mention of “Luigi”. Has he been deemed guilty yet? No, he has not. Pieces of shit.
After all this is said and done, I hope the world remembers all these pieces of shit. Everyone who is bending the knee.
theyre a private company, they have no obligation to keep things uncensored. meta censors pro Palestine and queer content all the time. free speech does not apply to nonpublic forums.
Reddit should be sued for removing any mention of “Luigi”.
Where’s Nintendo of America when you need them?
Sir it is a corporate… It ain’t ur fuking ally, boy
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. If Nintendo wants to sue reddit, I will accept the friendly help.
for those of us that were there for 18 years, it is like losing a friend.
If it’s any consolation, it’s Nintendo’s Legal team that are really rolling with it. There’s hope they’ll recognise they’re hurting their brand and Legal’s leadership will be kicked to the curb.
Don’t blame their developers - they likely have nothing to do with it, even Game Freak.
oh, i buried Reddit after the API bullshit. Fuck spez. but, thanks for trying to cheer me up!
They were always bad. You were just young
Nah, Reddit was great back when I first joined. The lead-up to the 2016 election was the beginning of the end.
And it’s not like this is the only Luigi in the world. I’m not about to promote a pizza place called Luigi’s because neither am I on reddit nor do I know such a place but if it wasn’t for these two reasons, there would still be a third one
I’ll remember. I eat pieces of shit like them for breakfast.
I saw a some magazine in the checkout at a grocery store that had Luigi on the cover. They’re absolutely trying to paint him as a bad guy. The cover was “The dark decent of Luigi”. I laughed and turned the magazine around. But it’s out there in every checkout line.
Nobody buys those things except (usually eccentric) elderly ladies. You could have defaced the mag and more store attendants wouldn’t even notice or intentionally let it ride.
