I’ve just given the pictrs service a kick and it seems to be allowing uploads again, will keep an eye on it!

@colourlesspony@pawb.social Appears to be functioning again, can you verify? If it’s still failing, could you let me know the file size you’re trying to upload?

I was trying to upload a 4.9 mb webm file. Is there a file size limit?

Hm, that should be fine, the max should be set to 20 MB by default.

It didn’t work my 1.2 mb png either but it does let me upload a 600 kb jpg.

Thank you! That is a very generous upload limit.

It seems to be broken again.

Is this also related to server icon and banner uploads? If so, it seems to have went down again. Got the same JSON error trying to add my art to the new community. Thank you for your efforts, I appreciate you!

We had this problem the other day after we filled up the disk.

The solution was to remove a 0 byte file in /lemmyinstalldir/volumes/pict-rs/db-034something/

It was a file that had “span” or similar in it’s name. Found the solution after googling for a while and found a user who had the same problem.
