I’m not sure if there’s a term for it, but you can repeat a progression without resolving the chords to build tension. It might be a suitable effect and help with finishing it.

This is (was?) one of my favorite subreddits, so I’m glad to see it over here.
One possibility: set up a private kbin node that federates with pawb so it’s at least collecting all our posts and threads. That way there’s at least an archive if we end up migrating.
Mastodon combability is a biggie. I can directly attribute lots of participation and even new accounts to me boosting posts I made on here on my Mastodon account.
The Reddit exodus is likely to bring lots of people with good ideas and skills, just as the various exoduses did for Mastodon. It’s how we got stuff like Glitch and Pleroma. I favor sticking with what we have for now until there’s a clearer path forward.
Tankies are insidious in the same way TERFs are. They can seem like comrades and fly under the radar for a long time as long as you don’t broach certain topics, but when you do, holy shit. Suddenly little easy to ignore/not think about things in the things they’ve said come screaming into focus.
I would like to see Pawb maintain its own fork, even if it’s 100% the same except for name and documentation. That way the process and infrastructure are in place to make a clean break if needed.

I used Sci-Fi Floors, Portals, Walls, Paths, Lights and Terrain for DungeonDraft in one of my encounter maps. Check the product description! It’s featured.

Dungeondraft stuff goes here. Tag it with #ttrpg and any relevant tags. Lemmy doesn’t support them (yet?), but can probably search. And you can always use your browser’s search.
Trying to over-specify goals and whatnot is the #1 killer of new communities. It’s best to let things develop organically with a bit of guidance from mods/admins and the community to keep jerks and Nazi nonsense out. An image of a specification will emerge by the time it’s necessary to specify to keep things from getting out of hand.

Being able to create new threads with an @ could get out of hand, but it’s also useful
